Dog Days of Summer...

Lately it's getting harder and harder for Frisky to find his place in the sun...

"mmm...sunpatch..."

There just hasn't been much of it :(

Thunderstorms are especially troublesome for the very small:

Sometimes the best thing to do is just find a safe place and wait till it's all over.

Luckily for Frisk, the Olympics has led to lots of family together time in front of the tv (not something we normally do a lot of) hence, lots of opportunities for snuggling with various family members. Luckily for me, the Olympics means a good excuse for doing lots and lots of knitting on the February Lady Sweater (I laugh every time I say that lol!). The pics below are a little outdated - I'm past the sleeve separation and working the body now - but will give you an idea of the tone variations in this yarn (Dream in Color Blue Lagoon):

Yum! Hope your knitting, Olympic or otherwise, is going well too :)

Perhaps Frisky and Piglet are related.

"It's little Anxious," he said to himself, "to be a Very Small Animal Entirely Surrounded by Water. Christopher Robin and Pooh could escape by Climbing Trees, and Kanga could escape by Jumping, and Rabbit could escape by Burrowing, and Owl could escape by Flying, and Eeyore could escape by - by making a Loud Noise Until Rescued, and here am I, surrounded by water and I can't do anything."

Aww... you can tell him that the big guys & girls don't like the thunderstorms much either. Its been a LONG summer already with these nonstop storms and no one in our household are fans.....

Frisky, come to California, there are more sunpatches than you can count with all your toes.

Thunderstorms are so hard. Trinket used to get completely shaken and had to attatch himself to my ankle -- which made me mad and which made him more scared.

Sofee has never been concerned with storms....which seems very odd to me. She hates going out in the rain, but as long as she is inside, she doesn't seem to care about thunder, etc.

We have a patio door that faces East. Morning sun...she loves it!

I am doing more watching than knitting during these Olympics. Not good, as I have a deadline on my current project.....YIKES!
