A GBCAC

Okay, so I had to give it a whirl. Here is my answer to sophanne's question: GBCAC*

*(Great Big Crazy-Ass Cable)

An interesting look, but I think the bulk might make it too uncomfortable to wear, at least in the heavy worsted I used. I'll be watching to see if anyone else takes a stab at it ;)

I really need to get some sleep. Must. stop. reading. blogs.

gbcac- that cracks me up! I tried it on a bag that was going to be felted anyway- it sort of twisted the whole bag- I'll post later- you can't really see the cable.

Thanks for trying it. I'm going to try again, have a little patience (and knit more than 3 rows after the cable row) and move the second set of stitches on the cable needle to the front before knitting the second set from the left.

At least I'm learning a little more about cables. Thanks again!

I read that on Sophanne's and tried to think it through in my head. Actually, from here, it doesn't look so bad....

Hmm...moving to the front would be interesting. Looking at my sample, I'm thinking it might produce a sort of pretzel effect, which would be very cool. Thanks to sophanne for starting this - personally, I'd like to see more of these little mini-knit mysteries!
